ReplyDeleteJust FYI...Cap and Trade has been law since 1990 when it was passed as part of the Clean Air Act under Bush, Sr. who championed the system, which was created by free market conservatives along with some forward thinking economists and environmentalists. It has been wildly successful in reducing acid rain since 1995 as well as wildly successful at making a lot of money in the free market. What is in the Senate is an expansion of the system to cap greenhouse gas emissions as well. If people would put politics aside they would see that it is a win-win system for both fans of free markets and fans of a healthier planet.
